Important Guidelines
For All Longshoremen
- Work is primarily outdoors and requires proper clothing and work boots.
- Come ready to work!
- New employee starting salary is $17-$20/hour (depending on the cargo).
- To work on a dock, you must obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) certification.
- The Ports of Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware are drug and alcohol-free ports.
- All workers reporting for duty must wear a hard hat and safety vest.
- Smoking is prohibited on all terminals due to Coast Guard regulations.
- To operate on a car ship, you must have a valid driver’s license.
